Despite the bulkier case, the Rolex Submariner 116610LN didn’t increase in size. With its 40mm case, it has the perfect size in my book. One downside of a metal bracelet is that it can be too tight or loose at moments.
The 116610LN was introduced in 2010, and was only recently discontinued and replaced by the newer, 41mm 126610LN in 2021. One key change from its predecessor is the new ceramic bezel with platinum inserts (which Rolex labels as “Cerachrom”). The new case and lug taper to wider bracelet is spot on perfect. The 21mm lugs with a thinner taper was brilliant. This looks like a modern interpretation of a 5 digit Sub.
