There's a reason it's been around for over 100 years and continues to be stocked by probably every gun store in the country. While other products seem to come and go, Hoppe's is still pretty much the . All I use are ramrodz swabs to clean the cylinder and bore and a paper towel to wipe of the exterior. I put 175 light powder coated lead reloads through my 929 today and it cleaned up just fine with CLP. Unless a bore has a bunch of lead fouling I don't use a bronze brush. I use Hoppes Elite solvent and a nylon brush on the cylinder of my 929. My first was a Bulova Accutron in the late 70's, stolen out of my hotel room. My first Rolex was a 2005 GMT II "Pepsi" cost 00 and worth K+ today but I sold it for much less. My second Rolex, a 2022 Sub LV, I sold a year later for a K profit. My present Sub (no date) is worth K more than I paid two years ago. This is my last watch.
I stripped it completely when new for a clean and lube. It was fairly gunky from the factory. A common way to quick clean it is to remove the wood buttstock, turn the rifle muzzle up, and spray a can of non-chlorinated brake cleaner down the barrel, letting it run through the action until it runs clean. Lube as needed.
