Moreover, the Vf is a lot lower than that of the other emitters, which improves the efficiency (lm/W) a lot. I have been tasked by someone to modify a DIY high power flashlight. I am posting this question without much understanding of flashlight specifics, so pardon my dumb questions :,) The bulb is a CREE XHP 70.2 LED 6V, and the current driver supports this light but has multiple light modes. How far would a wurkkos ts22 or similar 28mm edc tub light throw with xhp70.3 hi? I'm working on powering 20 of the Cree XHP 70.3 high output LEDs. I'm struggling to find an adequate DC-DC constant current driver with a high output. Does anyone have any suggestions for 12V 3.6A CC driver? I purchased a pair of Cree 12v XHP70.2 LED's, modified the heatsink to mount them in behind the lenses, and wired them (in series) to the driver. However when powered up, the system does not illuminate the LED's. They very dimly flicker at about 20-30hz.
