All of the JDF GMTs are substantially identical to GMFs, including the use of GMF's proprietary (and inferior) SA3285 GMT movement. There are just two options: either VSF or JDF. The VSF is 568$ and the JDF 788$. VSF is gold plated whereas the JDF is wrapped. By comparing both watches, you can clearly see the difference in the gold tone. For me, VSF is absolute crap in terms of color. Puretime has several JDF submariners on sale.. Have not seen any reviews for this factory anywhere on Reddit or the rep forums. Has anyone purchased one? Would like to know what quality is like before paying 0-500.
There is unavoidable about the color difference in the blue dial, the GEN is a dark blue, the AR factory deviates the most and looks similar to a faded color! AR sunburst on the dial is too strong, VS is the closest to GEN, followed by CLEAN, GM is too indistinct! Can somebody tell me more about the JDF Factory? I'm currently on the search for anothe Day-date, which could be better then the BP / GMF Versions. I had many NOOB submariner until the V5 version, and she is very well made ! But, today, i would try the JF for the following reasons: - The correct height of the sapphire above the ceramic bezel; NOOB is too high ! - The clasp is a real beauty; it's rounded where it . Vsf is the only factory that ever oayed attention on how the minute hand is made, if you look closely om gen and vsf minute hand looks like is slanted, Good spot. Clean hands are rather on the flat side.
