The feeling may be something as simple as a little stiction between the crown gasket and the case tube and not a mechanical issue at all. Hold the watch up to your ear and wind it slowly. Listen for "normal" winding noises versus any grinding or similar sounds. A current model Rolex should sound like you are cracking a safe when you put it up to your ear and wind slowly. Tick, tick, tick, tick, with no "wiz" in between.
